Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: 1 January 2025

1. Purpose

seeID provides identity verification services for lawful purposes only. By using seeID, you agree to this Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use seeID to verify identities without the subject's consent
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense seeID verification results
• Use seeID for credit bureau purposes without NCR registration
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the platform
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the platform for harassment, stalking, or unlawful discrimination
• Exceed rate limits or attempt denial-of-service attacks
• Violate any applicable law, including POPIA, RICA, FICA, or the CPA

3. Consent Requirements

Every identity verification must be preceded by the subject's informed consent. You must maintain records of consent and provide them upon request. Verification without consent is a violation of POPIA and may result in immediate account termination.

4. Data Handling

You may not retain verification results longer than necessary for the stated purpose. Results must be stored securely and deleted when no longer needed, as per our Data Retention Policy.

5. Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of credits, and reporting to relevant authorities.
